Sara was a beloved sister, mother, Nana, teacher, and friend. She worked in the Chula Vista Elementary School District for over 20 years as a special education teacher and resource specialist. Sara is survived by her son Scott Mattero, daughter Melissa Schlyer (Mattero), one granddaughter, and two sisters Ruth Meyer, and Donna Tucker. Services will be held November 11, 2012 at 2pm at Glen Abbey Mortuary 3838 Bonita Rd. Bonita, CA 91902
