

Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Terencio Hisole Jamotillo was no exception. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Terencio will always be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Terencio’s life journey began on July 5, 1929. He first greeted the world in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo Philippines. His parents’ names were Donato Sendico and Praxedes Jagonio Jamotillo. He was raised with 6 siblings, Trinidad, Priscilla, Arnulfo, Rolando, Virgilio and Donato Jr.
Terencio graduated from Sta. Barbara High School in the Philippines. He later continued his education by attending 2 years at Iloilo School of Arts and Trade, majoring in Marine Engineering.
Falling in love is a huge milestone for any person. Just knowing that you have met that special someone is a magical feeling. Terencio experienced that with Teresita Solinap Superio and the couple exchanged wedding vows on January 16, 1958 at Sta. Barbara Catholic Church in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo, Philippines. Empathic and loyal, Terencio was committed to making his family happy.
While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Terencio was blessed with 4 children, Terencio Jr, Donna, Leilani Ann, and Neil John. He worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs, raising his children in a positive and nurturing environment. Later on, Terencio was blessed with the gift of 11 grandchildren.
How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Terencio enjoyed what he did for a living. Terencio served 20 years in the United States Navy receiveing three “Good Conduct Awards” and a “National Defense Service Medal”. After retirement, he worked for the United States Postal Service as a Distribution Clerk for 10 years
A person's hobbies often mirror who they have become. Terencio enjoyed his leisure time by fishing, golfing, creating and building things. He also enjoyed playing Poker and Bingo. More than anything he loved his family and always wanted to hang out and party.
Terencio was a Philanthropist in his hometown and was a strong supportive role model for the schools Golf, Football and Soccer Clubs. Terencio was awared a lifetime membership to the Alumni Association of Sta. Barbara High School for his numerous donations of books and building of the fences and other numerous things.
Terencio left us on November 27, 2011. He passed away in his home town of Sta. Barbara, Philippines from Cardiopulmonary Arrest. He was 82 years old. He is survived by his wife, Teresita and his children, Terencio Jr and wife Bella, Donna and her husband George, Leilani and her husband Steve, Neil and his wife Cherie. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren: Christian, Christopher, Meghan, Amanda, Hannah, Hayley, Emily, Don, Anna-Marie, Kyle and Keani. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A funeral service was held at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel in Bonita, California, on December 10, 2011. Terencio was laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
Simply stated, Terencio was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being caring and giving, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Terencio leaves behind him a legacy of lifelong friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember him with a smile.
