My condolences to the family! I’ve been wondering how’s Virgie, tried so many times to reach her until her number can’t take calls anymore.
I met Virgie in the gym and we became friends, pandemic came which of course things changed and didn’t get to see each other anymore just few phone calls here and there. I just got her last name today  from someone in the gym as well who also can’t reach her.  So I started researching and this is what I found out. I am so sad about this and can’t believe that Virgie is already gone!

We will all miss you so much, although our times together were short they were sweet and fun, you were always caring, helpful, calm and full of joy, your passing was sudden and unexpected and we didn't get the chance to tell you that we love you very much and we are grateful for those times we got to share with you ,but we know that your not suffering, in pain or have any concerns where you are for God has called you by name bringing you up to his palace with loved ones you'll finally get reunited with. We believe that when you have Jesus close to you that is the closest we can be with those lost in life but now live in Eternity for his the ruler and king of heaven and earth in this we find great comfort that even though you can't be here your still very near,we love you always and send our most heartfelt condolences to all the family God bless always: Segundo and Okati family

Some of my favorite memories of Auntie Vengie involved her visits to New York around the holidays and her birthday.  For this particular birthday, we were all happy to be introduced to pignoli cake, and we were so glad to be able to celebrate Auntie Vengie's big day in person. I am so grateful for all of the memories we have, and that my children got to know their Auntie Vengie from California.  We are so sad that we never got the opportunity to meet up for Christmas in New York one last time.   While we miss her every day, Auntie Vengie will live on in our hearts.  

Grateful that our family was able to get together last Fall for Meghan's beautiful wedding.

Holding babies brought her so much joy - with her first nephew Jay to Jay's first grandson 50+ years later.

Vengie visiting California will never be the same without you. Thank you for being a wonderful caring person . You care more about others than yourself. Your New York family will miss you . I hope you rest in peace . I feel comfort knowing you’ll be with mama and papa . We all love you 💕

Our last time in person together was September 6, 2022 at La Jolla for a 'fancy' and far-to-infrequent lunch on the rooftop of a restaurant overlooking the ocean. My aunt Vengie, my mom, and I had great laughs and conversation. I joked that Vengie looked like a celebrity-in-hiding while wearing my hat and she proceeded to wave off the paparazzi :-). I will always cherish the precious memory of that happy, sunny afternoon and am thankful for the wonderful times we had together on that trip to San Diego. I am also full of sorrow that we cannot do it again and regret that we did not meet up more often. She has left us too soon and she will be missed dearly. I will carry her in my mind and in my heart forever.

I'm still in disbelief that you are gone! I will miss your witty sense of humor. You had the knack to say the funniest thing. I am forever grateful for your friendship throughout the years. The future G Gals Adventures will never be the same without your presence. Love you my dear friend! You will forever be a G Gal! Rest in Paradise!

Ate Vengie, I will miss you!!!  I know my mom was there to greet you with open arms!  I Love You!!!!

Ate Vengie always found a way to bring happiness and sunshine to anyone she met. This picture is from 2015 when she picked me up from the airport. Soon after my arrival, we discovered that she had car trouble and we called a tow truck. The driver also gave us a lift to her mechanic! This is us - making an adventure out of it and getting a good laugh!

I will miss her gentle voice, witty humor, warm hugs and most of all, her never ending love.

I am sorry that she left so early. She was kind and thoughtful. I will miss her.
