

Vivian Ordillia Collins "boarded the bus" bound for heaven on Nov. 24, 2012. On Jan. 24, 1912 Vivian was born in Enid, OK, where she met and married James Edgar Collins in 1937. Jim was in the U.S. Navy and they were stationed in Honolulu, HI when Pearl Harbor was bombed on Dec. 7, 1941. In 1950 they bought a new home in Chula Vista, where Vivian lived until her death. They were Charter Members of the First Christian Church of Chula Vista. Vivian was a member of Chula Vista Presbyterian Church. Vivian served in various church leadership positions, and her beautiful smile and warm greeting during worship services and church activities were always a blessing.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James E. Collins, and brother, Cornelius O. White, Jr. She is survived by her children: Dennis and Dana Collins, Sharon & Terry Alford, and Carol & Ron Batchelor; grandchildren: Denise Comstock, Diane Angel, Jeff Siddell, Wendi Batchelor, and Alison Siddell; and great grandchildren: Nicole Comstock, Boydd Siddell, and Madison Siddell. She also leaves a niece, Kathy White-Rhinehart, and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family requests donations be made to San Diego Hospice Foundation, 4311 Third Avenue, San Diego, CA 92103, in her honor, in lieu of flowers.
The funeral service will be held on Dec. 11, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Glen Abbey's Little Chapel of the Roses, 3838 Bonita Rd., Bonita, CA 91902
