Wilfredo served in the United States Navy for 20 years, retiring at the rank of SD1. He received both the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal during his enlistment.
Wilfredo married his wife Merlie on July 26, 1968 in Vancouver, Canada and were married for 45 years. They have three children Melinda, Melody, and Wilmer.
He enjoyed gardening, traveling, watching sports and spending time with his grandchildren Ian, Leah, Miles, Ben and Drew. Wilfredo passed on October 25, 2013 and is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
