She was the fourth of nine children, four sisters and four brothers, growing up in a close-knit family that instilled in her the values of love, hard work, and devotion to family. Zenaida was a lifelong learner and a passionate educator. To further fuel her pursuit for knowledge, she went on to earn a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Pangasinan, where she demonstrated not only intellectual ability but also a deep commitment to the development of her students. In 1962, Zenaida married Attorney Godofredo Manipud Sr.,who passed on August 7, 2017, and together, they raised five children: Belma, Marissa, Godofredo Jr., Jasmin, and Jean. Zenaida nurtured and created the values that shaped the lives of her children and grandchildren. She was blessed with eight grandchildren, Justine Jobelle, Ralph Henry, Marie Ysabelle, Joseph, Bruce, Jayli, Noah, and Elbert John, and one great-grandchild, Myles, all of whom were her pride and joy. Zenaida cherished her family above all, and created a home of warmth and safety. Her legacy and sacrifices for her family lives on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild, who carry forward the lessons she imparted. Zenaida’s memory will be forever cherished by her loving family, including her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, siblings, extended family, and countless friends.
