

Douglas Trissillan Ewing II, age 83, of Bonita Springs, was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 20, 1941, to Douglas and Thelsa Ewing. After a 3-year battle with Leukemia (CMML), he passed away on August 6, 2024.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Ewing, and sons Douglas T. Ewing III and Michelle, and Doug’s sons, Doug IV, Garrett Ewing and Morgan and their daughter Abrielle. Zachary and Kailey. His son Dan Ewing and Katherine and their two daughters, Degas and Dr. Adam Feldman, and their three Kids, Davina, Arthur and Rudy. Bridgette and Dr. Ben Behers and their daughter Katherine. His son Darren Ewing and Christina and their son JT. His son Dale Beckett and Kara with their two boys Ben and Ryan.
Doug attended grade school in the Roxborough and Eagleville sections of Philadelphia.
For 7th -12th grade they lived in Collegeville, PA and went to Jr. and Sr. High at Collegeville-Trappe High School. He was on the Football, Baseball and Basketball teams. He also played baseball and basketball for Lower Providence Boys Club Teams.
When he was 16, he went on a Goodwill tour one summer with his Lower Providence Presbyterian Church. They stayed with families in Nottingham, Belfast, Geneva, and Paris.
He was very active in his Lower Providence Boy Scouts Troup and went on many camping experiences with them around the country including California and Philmont, New Mexico.
Doug attended business school at the University of Miami, Florida and was President of his Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.
After college, he started his Electrical sales business in the Maryland, D.C. and Northern Virginia areas. He ran his business with Diane for 40 years with offices in Bladensburg, and Grasonville, MD.
He belonged to Tantallon Country Club (Ft. Washington, MD) for 20 years and Prospect Bay Country Club (Grasonville, MD) for 40 years, where he enjoyed a lot of competitive Tennis, and Swimming and golf for fun.
He attended Church his entire life, rarely missing a Sunday service, a Men’s Breakfast or helping a local mission supporting student athletes at local universities (like Florida Gulf Coast). For 60 years he was either at Southminster Presbyterian Church, Immanuel United Methodist Church or his last 20 years at Presbyterian Church in Bonita Springs, Florida, where he was on Advisory Boards, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and on Grounds committees.
After retiring Diane and Doug moved to Bonita Springs, FL in the winter and stayed in Grasonville, MD for the summers. In the past 10 years, he enjoyed Pickleball, and Diane and he traveled all over the U.S., and the world, including Israel/Jerusalem and seeing their kids, grandkids, and great grandkids every minute they could.
He should be remembered for his smile, his curiosity, his love of sports and his sons and grandchildren.
