Lillian was born in the Bronx, New York, on April 25, 1929. She was one of nine children of the late Giacomo and Carmela DePiro. She is predeceased by her siblings: Joseph, Jennie, Anthony, Anne, Louis, Ida, Rose, and Adaline.
She was born at the family residence at 283 East 149th Street, Bronx, N.Y. She grew up near Yankee Stadium and saw the Yankee greats, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Joe DiMaggio. After college, Lillian went to work at Young and Rubicam Advertising Agency, New York City, where she had a successful managerial career, influencing many for 38 years. There she met her two lifelong friends, Louise Discepolo and Carol Nassan. Lillian and Louise lived in Secaucus, New Jersey, in Harmon Cove, until they bought a condo in Worthington Country Club, Bonita Springs, Florida. Lillian, Louise, and Carol all loved to travel. They enjoyed several trips to Italy, London, and Las Vegas, along with cruises to many other places.
Lillian was a bobby soxer for Frank Sinatra and saw many of his concerts. As a concert lover, Lillian, along with Louise and Carol, had the opportunity to see Liza Minnelli, Barbra Streisand, and Cher. She loved country music, and her biggest love was the Judds, especially Wynonna. She was an active member of Wynonna's fan club, meeting her several times. She had a cat named Jessica for over 23 years and never got over losing her. In recent years, her loved pet was Carol's Maltese, Lola, whom she loved as her own.
Lillian is survived by her dear friend Carol, along with her many nieces and nephews: Maryann, Joyce, Deborah, Lorraine, Donald, John, Stephen, Gary, Ronald, Paul, Jean, and Russel.
There will be a burial and service later at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York. A celebration of life will be held by private invitation at Worthington Country Club.
