Betty Jean White Smith, 76, died Friday September 24, 2010 at Landmark Nursing & Rehab in Booneville. She was born March 17, 1934 to the late Fred and Eula Grace Lauderdale White. She was a retired factory worker having been employed with Brown Shoe Co. and Prentiss Mfg. She was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading, baking, sewing, crocheting and knitting. She was an avid sports fan.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2010 at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kerry Powell and Bro. Dwain Whitehurst officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Randal Smith; her daughter, Sandy (Larry) Bethay of Booneville; her son, Michael Smith of Booneville; two brothers, Curt (Helen) White of Corinth and Grady (Jackie) White of Pisgah; eleven nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Billy White.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and until service time Monday at the funeral home.
