Boyd Wayne Hunkapiller, 63, of Marietta died Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Booneville. He was born November 11, 1948 to Randle and Dora Taylor Hunkapiller. He was a retired factory worker and he attended East Marietta Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 7, 2012 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Andy Russell officiating. Burial will be in Sumners Chapel Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Sue Jackson Hunkapiller; one son, Anthony (Sandy) Hunkapiller of Marietta; one sister, Deann Davis of Booneville; six grandchildren, Tony Hunkapiller, Brittany Hunkapiller, Josh Hunkapiller, Matthew Hunkapiller, Roman Hunkapiller, and James Hunkapiller.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Patrick Hunkapiller; and one brother, Bobby Wade Hunkapiller.
Visitation will be 5-9pm Saturday, October 6, 2012 and until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.
