Charlene Barnes

Charlene Barnes, 81, died Friday, February 11, 2011, at her home. She was born May 13, 1929, to Charlie and Anna Viola Gann Brown. She was retired from Abbott Laboratories and a paralegal. She was a member of Little Creek Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 14, 2011, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. W.C. Alexander and Bro. Danny Short officiating. Burial will be in Sumners Chapel Cemetery.

She is survived by her one daughter, Carolyn (Dave) Lenzini of Booneville; two sons, Jerry (Becky) Barnes of Booneville and Charles (Margaret) Barnes of Winthrop Harbor, IL; one sister, Clynese Green of Booneville; eight grandchildren, Michelle (Sam) Moody, David Austin, Chris (Tosha) Lenzini, Michael (Cindy) Barnes, Jeff (Casey) Barnes, Andi-Beth (Clay) England, Kim Barnes and Scott (Denise) Barnes; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Barnes; her parents; two sisters, Ailene Clark and Lela Stephens; one infant brother, Brooks Brown; and one grandson, Timothy Barnes.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
