Cleyone Carmon "Pick" Ashcraft

Cleyone Carmon “Pick” Ashcraft, 78, of Booneville, died Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at his home. He was affiliated with the Gospel Light House Pentecostal Church, a retired electrician with Jesco, an avid gardener and bird watcher. He had a love of God and Country and was very active with the Republican Party.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Friday, October 22, 2010, at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Hayward Burcham officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Carolyn (Don) Whitehead of Columbia, TN, Brenda (Marty) Barnes of Booneville and Sharon (Daryl) Burcham of Oxford, MS ; 3 sisters, Geraldine Hester, Shirley Isbell and Wanda Gray all of Booneville; 8 grandchildren, Jessica (Matt) Hart, Brandon (Annah) Barnes, Kyle (Whitney) Barnes, Cliff Sappington, Keaton Burcham, John Garrett Burcham, Luke Burcham and Callie Burcham.

He is preceded in death by, his wife, Allie Kizer Ashcraft, his parents, Carl and Ruth Ashcraft, 1 daughter, Marilyn Sappington, 2 sisters, Eloise Butler and Zera Grace Ashcraft, and 2 brothers, Roy Milton Ashcraft and Bobby Loyd Ashcraft.

Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Thursday, October 21, 2010, at McMillan Funeral Home and until service time on Friday.

Jack and I wish to extend our sympathy during this time for all the family. Pick was one of my favorites growing up. I have very fond memories of him and Allie. We will keep you in our prayers and thoughts during the difficult days ahead.
