
Cynthia Ann Palmer Myrick Heffner, 54, of Ridgeland, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland after a long battle with brain cancer. She was born January 12, 1957 in Booneville, MS. She attended school throughout the country due to her father’s civil engineering career. She graduated from East Lathrop High School in Fairbanks, AK. After graduation, her family moved back to Mississippi. She attended MUW majoring in drawing and painting.
Cindy’s career was spent as an underwriter for Jackson area insurances companies. Her career began with Home Insurance. She later worked for Dupuy & Sons. She finished her career with Southern Cross. In her spare time, Cindy enjoyed painting and playing bunco.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. George Strickland officiating. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Heffner; mother, Evelyn Ann Palmer; two daughters, Jennifer (Trey) Miller and Staci Myrick; four granddaughters, Mazzi and Megann Miller, Madelyn Welch, and Reagan Moss; one sister, Dawn (Randall) DeArmond; two brothers, Chris (Bridgette) Palmer and Greg Palmer; two nieces, Lili and Addison Palmer; and two nephews, Andrew and Palmer DeArmond.
She is preceded in death by her father, Cecil Palmer; and grandparents, Mary Catherine and Harold Robertson and Carl and Mildred Palmer.
Visitation will be from 10:30-11:00 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the funeral home.
