Dena Gaines

Miss Dena Gaines, 88, of Booneville died Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Landmark Nursing and Rehab in Booneville. She was born June 10, 1923 in her home at Corinth, MS to the late Evan and Annie Williams Gaines. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Booneville, was retired from Kraft Cheese Company in Booneville since 1988, a longtime member of the B & PW Club, in her spare time she loved playing card games with friends, she lived her last days at the Landmark Nursing and Rehab.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Thursday, March 1, 2012 at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Lynn Jones officiating and Steve Gaines delivering the Eulogy. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Memorial Park.

She is survived by three sisters, Lillian Gaines, Ilene Gaines Taft and Sammie Gaines James all of Booneville, and two brothers, Fred (Jean) Gaines of Booneville and Robert (Mary Ann) Gaines of Lexington, TN; two nieces, Martha Lynn (Chuck) Davis of Tupelo and Emily McWilliams of Lexington, TN; and two nephews, Stan (Jennifer) Gaines of Germantown, TN and Steve (Candi) Gaines of Corinth.

She is preceded in death by, her parents, and one sister, Edith Gaines.

Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the funeral home and until service time on Thursday.

Dena introduced my mother, Mary Sue Grisham Caver, to my dad, Horace Caver on the day this photo was taken at Liddon Lake in Corinth. Dena and Lillian visited us often all my life. I know Dena is having a great reunion in heaven.
