Dorothy Mae Spencer

Dorothy Mae Spencer, 89, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born August 21, 1924, to Sarah Malinda Chaffin and William Almus Printess. She attended Hills Chapel Baptist Church.

A celebration of life will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 9, 2014 at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Pete McCoy and Bro. Rodney Lindsey officiating. Burial will be in Jumpertown Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, William E. “Bilbo” Spencer of Booneville; one daughter, Ruby (Coe) Moore of Booneville; one sister, Catherine Lewis of Booneville; two brothers, William J. (Altia) Prentiss, and Pete (Eva) Prentiss both of Booneville; three grandchildren, Tracey (Eddie) Brooks of Eva, AL, Corey and Charlie Moore of Booneville; three great grandchildren, Jonna and Jon Eddy Denton of Pontotoc and Courtney Moore of Booneville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Evelyn Thomas, Pearl Simmons and Faye Miller and one brother James A. Prentiss.

Pallbearers will be Doug Prentiss, Jon Eddy Denton, Chris Prentiss, Eugene Miller, Alan Prentiss and Wesley Spencer. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Shields, Linda Shields, Jamie Shields and Johnny Shields.

Visitation will be 5-9pm Friday, August 8, 2014 at McMillan Funeral Home.
