Earl G Owens

Earl G. Owens, 79, died Sunday, October 7, 2012, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was born April 9, 1933, to William Andrew and Earline Stephens Owens. He was retired supervisor from H&W Pipe, preacher and a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kara Blackard, Bro. Shane Evetts and Bro. Hollis Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Sumners Chapel Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Sanders Owens; one daughter, Judy Moore of Booneville; one step-daughter, Jeannie (John Paul) Anderson of Corinth; two sons, John (Glenda) Owens of Booneville and Jim Owens of Burnsville; three sisters, Irene Burns of Marietta, Pauline Reece and Margie Johnson, both of Booneville; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jewel Owens; his second wife, Dorothy Owens; his parents; five brothers, Cecil, Travis, Lederial, James B. and Charles Owens; one son-in-law, William R. “Bill” Moore; and one grandson, Dennis Keith Moore.

Pallbearers are Wayne Owens, Greg Owens, Delane Johnson, Joe Stroupe, Jeremy Owens and Reggie Anderson.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Tuesday and until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
