Edith Estelle Garrett

Edith Estelle Garrett, 90, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Longwood Community Living Center. She was born September 5, 1924 to Willie and John Allen Garrett. She was a member of Booneville Church of Christ.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jim Estes officiating. Burial will be in Jacinto Church of Christ Cemetery.

She is survived by three sisters, Virlon Davis, Laverne Coker and Wynell (L.C) Thompson all of Booneville; one niece, Brenda (Bobby) Dunavent of Booneville; two nephews, Tommy (Janet) Coker and Keith (Mitzi) Thompson both of Booneville; one great niece, Melissa (Billy) Roberts of Saltillo; three great nephews, John (Dixie) Cartwright of Starkville, Kevin Thompson of Lucedale and Keenan Thompson of Booneville; two great great nieces, Emily Cartwright and Isabella Roberts; two great great nephews, Alec and Ethan Cartwright and a host of friends, relatives and the staff of Longwood Community Living Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one niece, Lynn Thompson Downs

Pallbearers will be Tommy Coker, Keith Thompson, Bobby Dunavent, John Cartwright, Alec Cartwright and Ethan Cartwright. Honorary pallbearers will be L.C. Thompson, Kevin Thompson and Keenan Thompson

Visitation will be from 5-8 Monday and will continue until service time at the funeral home.
