Gwendolyn Chase Denson, 83, died Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the Longwood Community Living Center in Booneville. She was born November 11, 1926 in the Altitude Community to the late Lee Roy and Arbie Holloway Chase. She was a retired teacher, having taught at Hills Chapel, Osborne Creek and Booneville Schools. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Richard Denson, Bro. Jack Masquelier and Bro. Dwight Scott officiating. Burial will be in the East Prentiss Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, David E. “Rastee” Denson; one son, Randy Denson and wife Lois of Anniston, Alabama; one grandson, Zack Denson of Anniston.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Troy Chase.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
