Jacqueline Owens Prentiss

Jacqueline Prentiss, 85, of Jumpertown died Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born September 4, 1926 to J.D. and Lois Lauderdale Owens. She was a member of the Stutts Chapel Church of Christ and was a homemaker. She lived to raise and care for her family and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 18, 2012 McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Terry Roberts and Bro. William Copeland officiating. Burial will be in the Jumpertown Cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandy (Tim “Bob” Spong) Thompson of Blackland and Jackie Berryman of Jumpertown; four sons, Jimmy (Barbara) Prentiss, Jeff (Emily) Prentiss, Tommy (LaQuita) Prentiss, Billy “Dooley” (Geneva) Prentiss all of Jumpertown; eleven grandchildren, Jaclyn (Cameron) Jumper, Allison Thompson, Jessica Prentiss, Jeffery (Alicia) Prentiss, Kara (Chris) Scott, Tricia (Derrick) Stevens, Jason Prentiss, Jana Prentiss, Billy Wayne Prentiss, Rhonda Burgess, and Stephen “Bubba” Osborne; 12 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Aaron Hugh Prentiss, two son-in-laws, Sonny Thompson and Fuzz Berryman and two grandchildren, Lanny Prentiss and Sonya Prentiss.

Visitation will be from 5-9 pm on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 and until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
