We played a lot of baseball games together. Him at shortstop and me at first base. Played a lot of songs together as well. Awesome guy.

Mike is my brother-in-law. Didn't have a brother till Mike came along. He was a gentle soul with a big heart and expressed himself through the songs he wrote. He had a beautiful voice and his heart came out through his songs. We had lots of good times at Marys and Mikes house, he enjoyed being hospitable. If he had it and you needed it, it was yours! Enjoyed our talks about the Lord and seeing him playing with his children. Loved his laughter and the wonder in his eyes when you told him something. Always willing to help out, we loved him, couldn't help but love that big old guy. He suffered a lot, makes me smile knowing he is at rest. Be at peace Brother.

Mike was a good friend to me. Every music project that Mike and I worked on together, was better because Mike was there!

Mike was an extremely kind and generous man. I will miss him terribly. It was an honor to share the stage and studio with him.

Mike was a good friend of mine for many years. I loved hearing him play the guitar and sing during our high school years. His dad and mine were friends as well. He wrote a few letters to me when he was in Viet Nam, and I wrote back filling him in on everyone back home. We reconnected on facebook about 10 years ago. He was one of the nicest people I have ever known, and all of Booneville loved him. He left quite a legacy. I look forward to hearing him sing and play the guitar again in Heaven one day! My thoughts and prayers are with his family as they grieve this big loss.
