

Jerry Clyde Hopkins, 59, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017, at home. He was born January 17, 1958, to Clyde and Martha Hopkins. He was a truck driver for Interstate Landscaping of Mississippi, and a taxidermist. He was an avid hunter, and loved spending time outdoors, swapping hunting stories with anyone who would listen, and most of all spending time with his family.
A celebration of life service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 26, 2017, at McMillan Funeral Home with Mr. Johnny Shields officiating. Burial will be in Hopkins Family Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Hopkins; two sons, Coley (Tiffany) Hopkins and Eddie (Jennifer) Hopper; one daughter, Jennifer James; his mother; his father-in-law, Tranton Jackson; three sisters, Diann (Tim) Ashmore, Belinda (Danny) Bishop and Robbin (Ricky) Johnson; four grandsons, J.C. Hopkins, Justin Hopkins, Matt James and Michael Miles; five granddaughters, Montana Hopper, Briana James, Brittany Tibodeau, Erica Crockett and Savannah Roberts; six great-grandchildren; a special uncle, J.C.Hopkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; his mother-in-law, Sue Jackson; and his grandparents, N.O. and Gussie Hopkins and John and Mattie Bell Sanders.
Visitation will Saturday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
