Katherine Palmer

Katherine Palmer, 90, of Rienzi died Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born April 24, 1922 to Sam and Ellen Moore Strange. She was a member of the Sardis Primitive Baptist Church and she was a retired factory worker.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Sardis Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Cecil Woodruff officiating. Burial will be in the Sardis Cemetery.

She is survived by one daughter, Ann (Gale) Armstrong of Rienzi; two sons, Tommy (Sherry) Palmer and Mike Palmer both of Rienzi; two sisters, Prudence Storey of Booneville and Maxine Leatherwood of Rienzi; three grandchildren, Kim (Tim) Perry, Kristy (Jason) White and Lane (Teah) Palmer; nine great grandchildren, Warren & Tate Perry, Amber, Shelby, Chloe, & Karlie Palmer, and Samuel, Jude, and Ruby Kate White.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Warner Palmer; her parents; one sister, Mary Effie Massey.

Visitation will be from 5-9 pm on Friday, June 1, 2012 and 12-1 pm on Saturday at McMillan Funeral Home.
