Larry "Sham" Randall Davis

Larry “Sham” Randall Davis, 72, a native of Booneville, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Corinth. He was born December 27, 1946 to Clyde W. Davis and Ruth Yarber Davis. He graduated from Thrasher High School in 1965. He served in the US Army and is a Vietnam Veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. He was a member of Southaven Church of Christ. He was an avid bass fisherman, he enjoyed golfing and bowling.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 PM Friday, April 26, 2019, at McMillan Funeral Home with Minister Robert Jefferies, Minister Don Blackwell, Minister Joe Ruiz and Minister Mark Lindley officiating. Burial will be in Jacinto Community Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife Linda Davis of Southaven; son, Eric Randall Davis (Gentry) of Southaven and Larry Daniel Davis of Belmont; two grandchildren, Alyssa Jordan Davis and Taylor Danielle Davis; two step grandchildren, Bailey Grant Jones and Parker Riley Jones; sisters, Varda M. Cole of Booneville, Estelle Wright (Clois) of Booneville, Martha Milam of Saltillo and Mable Perry (Ralph) of Saltillo; brother, Elvis Davis (Jere) of Olive Branch; sister-in-law, Dorothy Crane (Eudell); and brothers-in-law, Harold A. Sparks (Martha), Leon Sparks, Gerald Sparks (Lynda) and Ransel Sparks (Karen) of Belmont; Sister-in-law, Debra Maxey (Gary) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Gladys Davis; brother, Travis Davis; mother and father-in-law, Burvin and Luther Sparks; brothers-in-law, Charles Milam, Billy Joe Cole and David Sparks and sister-in-law, Faye Sparks.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Southaven Church of Christ in Southaven. Visitation will continue from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at McMillan Funeral Home on Friday.

Pallbearers will be Larry Cox, Wayne Boren, Coleman Simpson, Kevin Sledge, Joe Windham, Darrell Beard and David Crenshaw.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eudell Crane, Bill Elliott, Ralph Perry, Joel Hopper and Billy Mitchell.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Southaven Church of Christ building fund, 1483 Brookhaven Dr. Southaven, MS 38671.
