Louise "Polly" Morgan

Louise “Polly” Morgan, 97, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born June 23, 1918 to Bethel and Katie Eldridge. She married Roy Morgan October 3, 1935.

A long-time member of Rienzi Baptist Church, Mrs. Morgan taught Sunday School Class and was active in the WMU services. Mrs. Morgan also served on the Rienzi Board of Aldermen for 4 years and owned the first Merle Norman Studio in Booneville.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 24, 2016 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Titus Tyer officiating. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park.

She is survived by three children, Harold Morgan of Tupelo, Janie (Kellie) Holder of Corinth, and Gerald (Barbara) Morgan of Rienzi; two sisters, Ruth Bearden of Rienzi and Virginia Stevens of Booneville; one brother, Stanley (Daphene) Eldridge of Booneville; one special nephew, Randall Eldridge of Rienzi; six grandchildren, Gretta Morgan, Cindy (Herby) Key, Karen (Tim) Tucker, Greg (Susie) Morgan, Jerry (Angela) Morgan, and Susan (Mike) Bugg; and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Roy Morgan; daughter-in-law, Billie Morgan; grandson, Hugh Holder; and grand son-in-law, Scott Knight.

Pallbearers are, Randall Eldridge, Mark Morelock, Noble Williams, Greg Morgan, Noel Morgan, Eric Morgan, Herby Key, and Jon Key.

Visitation will be 12-3pm on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at McMillan Funeral Home.
