Susan and Janie,
I know my mom, Virginia Holley Smith, was thrilled to welcome her best childhood friend to heaven. What a grand reunion they must be having. Keeping both of you close in thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. It's so hard to give up our mother's no matter how old we are. Our mother's were friends for as long as I can remember. I am so gratefully Ms Louree liked to sew cause I wouldn't have had any clothes in school if not for her sewing. Heaven received a precious lady. I know she will be missed

I don’t know of a nicer person than Louree Hill. I have known her all of my life, and she and her parents were wonderful friends to me and my parents. In recent years she was such a blessing to my mother after my father died, and since they were both residents at Landmark, Louree ministered to my mother on a daily basis. When there was bad weather in the area, Louree would come down and stay with my mother until the threat passed. It is such a sad time for us who remain, but Louree celebrated her first Christmas in Heaven and would not come back to this world. She made so many others happy and had such a Servant’s heart! In this world there are Givers and Takers, and Louree Hill was at the top of the list of Givers!! Thankful to have been her friend. God bless Louree and her family, and so sorry my wife and I could not attend her memorial service.

Miss Louree, as I called her, was a wonderful example to a young preacher's wife and a staunch pastor supporter. She was a great Sunday School teacher and a good cook and generous hostess. Her crochet work was beautiful. Chris still has the beautiful quilt Louree made for him; his children use it often. There is no doubt in my mind that she is resting serenely in the bosom of our Lord. May God bless you during this time.
