Mara Shockley

Mara Nicole Shockley, 30, died Saturday, November 22, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born April 27, 1984, to Mark and Velda Cole Hughes. She owned and operated Lou Lou’s Cupcakery. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her boys.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Mark McCoy and Bro. Pete McCoy officiating.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Shockley; one daughter, Katrina Vernada Bush of the home; two sons, Callan Vaughn Miles and Cayden Hughes Miles, both of the home; her mother, Velda Hughes; two brothers, Brett Hughes and Harper Hughes; her grandmothers, Gladys Hughes and Lena Cole; two uncles, Rusty (Pam) Cole and Johnny (Ronja) Cole; her in-laws, Lloyd and Louise Knight and Bobby Joe and Ann Shockley; and a special friend, Sandra King.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mark Hughes; and her grandfathers, Homer Cole and Thomas Hughes.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the family to assist with funeral expenses.

Visitation will be from 9:00A.M. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
