Marie Spencer

Lillian Marie Spencer, 90, passed away, Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born February 28, 1924 to James Russell and Lillian Ethel Howell Nichols. She was a homemaker and member of East Prentiss Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, and quilting.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 26, 2014 at McMillan Funeral Home with Dr. C. W. Harrison officiating. Burial will be in East Prentiss Cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Larry (Hannelore) Boren of Wadsworth, IL and James (Karen) Spencer of New Site; a daughter-in-law, Geraldine Boren of Eupora; her sisters and brothers, Frances, Gladys, Glen, Jane , Charles, J.M., and Ray; eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.R. Spencer; a son, Don Boren; her parents; and three brothers, Milford, Melvin and David.

Pallbearers are her grandsons.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
