Marie Stacy

Marie Pauline Stacy, 91, of New Site, MS passed away on June 2, 2013 at Landmark Nursing Home in Booneville, MS surrounded by her family. She was born on May 16, 1922 to Robert Charles (R.C.) and Emma Dodds. On October 12, 1940, she married David Elijah Stacy and they shared their lives together until he passed away in 1971. The Lord blessed them with four boys and six girls during their years together. She was a homemaker and former employee at the Department of Human Services and Longwood Nursing Home for many years. She loved to sew, cook, draw, and work in her garden, but most of all, she loved caring for her children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 – 9 Monday, June 3, and funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on June 4, 2013, at McMillan Funeral Home, with Bro. Ben Parman officiating. Burial will be in the New Site Cemetery.

She leaves behind a brother, Floyd (Imogene) Dodds of Booneville; a sister, Frances (Bob) Sweeney of New Site; her children, Jackie Stacy of Booneville; Linda DeWald of New Site; Cheryl (Dwight) Sparks of Marietta; Lloyd (Johnnie) Stacy of Booneville, Molly (Hugh) Fooshee of Pontotoc, Ruth (Larry) Green of New Site, Sue (Stan) Riddle of New Site; a son-in-law, Larry Johnson of New Site; Stan (Jeania) Stacy of New Site; Dan Stacy of Booneville and 23 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren who will miss her dearly.

Waiting to greet her home will be her parents, R.C & Emma Dodds; a sister, Virginia Loveless; her husband, David E. Stacy; a daughter, Debra Johnson; a son-in-law, Irvin DeWald; and a great great grandson, Mikey Horn.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
