Martha Scott

Martha Lee Scott passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth after a 20 year battle with health issues. She was the daughter of Troy Lee Scott and Ona Mae Huddleston Scott Smart. She was a 1961 graduate of Booneville High School. After graduation, she pursued a career as a legal secretary in Jackson, MS, Orange County, CA, and Fayetteville, GA before moving back to Mississippi.

Mrs. Smart is currently a resident of Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Booneville. The family is requesting that Martha’s passing and service not be discussed with Mrs. Smart.

A Celebration of Life will be at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, July 28, 2016, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Huddleston officiating. A balloon release will follow. Bring your own balloons if you plan to participate.

She is survived by her mother; three sisters, Elizabeth (Vernon) Chase, Katherine (Dennis) Smart and Sandi Scott; and several nieces and nephews

Visitation will be Thursday from 4:30 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.
