Marvin Claude “MC” Lambert, Booneville, 84, went to his heavenly home Monday, November 19, 2018. He passed peacefully at his home. He was a lifelong member of the Church of God and served in many capacities including deacon, Sunday school teacher and custodian.

Marvin Claude Lambert was born December 17, 1933 in Prentiss County, the son of Claude and Annie Mae Newborn Lambert. He married Elsie Helene Johnson October 24, 1953. He worked in Chicago, IL, Brown Shoe Company in Booneville for 29 years and Parker Hannifan. He enjoyed running rabbit dogs with a special friend Larry Downs, woodworking and made many treasures for his family and others. After he retired he enjoyed traveling the world with his wife.

A celebration of life will be at 11:00AM Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Northeast Mississippi Church of God in Christ Church with Bro. Curtis Featherston officiating and Bro. Larry Marshall delivering the eulogy. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at McMillan Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Church of God Cemetery. In addition to his wife of 65 years he leaves his children, Jim (Teresa) Lambert, Joane (Rickey) Norris both of Booneville, John (Rebecca) Lambert of Glen and Jeff (Benjamin) Lambert of Guntown; his grandchildren, Melinda Watson, Justin Lambert, Misty Norris, Jared (Amelia) Lambert, Jake Waldrop and Josie Belle Lambert; three great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brothers and sisters, Roy (Frieda) Lambert, Larry (Jackie) Lambert, Bonita McVey all of Booneville and Nila Noble of Fairbanks, Alaska.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Eloise Hendrix and one brother, Doyle Lambert.

Pallbearers will be Justin Lambert, Jared Lambert, Misty Norris, Marty Lambert, Jake Waldrop and Cole James.
