Mary Murphy

Mary Lee Murphy, 89, died Monday, November 26, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born September 2, 1923, to Albert and Elsie Pate Harper. She worked for Brown Shoe Manufacturing. After retiring, she became the baby sitter and cook for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many other children.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Hicks, Bro. Larry Hill and Bro. Russell Lormand officiating. Burial will be in Cain’s Chapel Cemetery.

She is survived by four daughters, Debra (Johnny) Lindley of Booneville, Kathy Burns of Ripley, Jannie (Roundle) McVey and Robbie (Ronny) McCoy, both of Booneville; two sons, Jimmy (Martha “Jackie”) Murphy and Skippy Murphy, both of Booneville; 27 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Murphy; two sons, John Wayne Murphy and Larry Mitchell Murphy; two sisters; three brothers; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
