

Mary Gault Nabers, 85, died Friday, October 29, 2010, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. She was born October 19, 1925, to Otha Lee and Grace Gault Maxwell. A lifelong resident of Booneville, she was a graduate of Booneville High School, attended Blue Mountain College, Union University and was graduated from Mississippi State University. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Booneville, where she was a organist for 42 years. Mary Gault was an elementary school teacher for the Booneville, Thrasher, New Site and Iuka school districts, and taught private piano lessons early in her career. She played piano or organ for countless weddings, funerals and other social gatherings throughout Prentiss County. She was a member of the Pilot Club and Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2010, at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Lynn Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Nabers is survived by her daughter, Mary Grace Troupe of Pearl, MS; her son, Steve (Mickie) Nabers of Germantown, TN; three grandchildren, Bryan (Lisa) Gibson, Marty (Baine) Smith and Jesse Elizabeth Nabers; and two great-grandchildren, Carson Smith and Jake Gibson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son-in-law, Joseph R. Troupe.
