Mavis Morgan, 92, died Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Booneville. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she was active in the Joy Makers. She was retired from the Booneville Hospital where she worked as a payroll clerk. She enjoyed gardening.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Tony Brown officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park.
She is survived by one son, Billy (Crystal) Morgan of Tupelo; two grandchildren, Roechelle (Dan) Fortner of Tupelo and Matthew (Leigh) Morgan of Newnan, GA; and five great-grandchildren, Sarah Ryann, Finn, Mac, Cameron and William.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.M. “Pete” Morgan in 1994; her parents; one sister; and seven brothers.
