Patricia Aniece Phillips, 81, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 12, 2025, in Booneville, Mississippi. She was born on August 6, 1943, in Altitude, Mississippi, to Minnie and Everett Theophilus Phillips.
Patricia graduated from Northeast Mississippi Community College and dedicated her career to dental hygiene, where her warmth, compassion, and skill left a lasting impact on her patients and colleagues.
Known for her boundless energy and kindness, Patricia’s greatest joy was her family. She took immense pride in her son, her grandchildren, and her many nieces and nephews, always eager to share their accomplishments. She treasured every moment with her loved ones, from weekly lunches with her sisters to holiday gatherings filled with laughter and games. She found joy in the stories, traditions, and togetherness that kept her family close. Her warmth, love, and unwavering support will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Patricia is survived by her son, David Kirk (Tonya); her grandchildren, Anna Kirk and John David Kirk; her sister, Wynoka Phillips; her nieces, Carolyn Henson Nolin, Susan Brinkley Krawczyk, and Regina Sullivan; and her nephews, Paul Phillips, Jeff Phillips, Keith Phillips, Michael Phillips, Todd Phillips, Stephen Belue, and Greg Belue.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Katie Phillips Henson and Frances Phillips Brinkley; her brothers, J.W. Phillips, Wilford Theo Phillips, E.T. "Todd" Phillips Jr., Terry Phillips, Harold Belue, and Darryl Belue; and the father of her son and love of her life, David Budlowe.
A memorial service will be held at McMillan Funeral Home on March 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM, preceded by visitation beginning at noon. In honor of Patricia’s lifelong support of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the family requests that donations be made in her memory in lieu of flowers.
Patricia’s life was filled with love, laughter, and devotion to those she held dear. May we honor her memory by embracing the same warmth and generosity she shared so freely.
