He was a member of Little Brown Freewill Baptist Church.

He was a carpenter who built many houses in Booneville and Prentiss County. He liked to work.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Leonard Ball and Bro. Carter Smith officiating. Visitation will be Monday, April 15, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Liberty Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by three sons; Jackie Smith (Mary) and Keith Smith both of Booneville and Jerry Smith (Tammy) of Clinton; Five grandchildren, Carter Smith of Booneville, Carmen Smith Kennedy (Jeremy) of Oxford, Jonathan Smith (Brooke), Jacob Smith (Michelle) and Samantha Smith, all of Clinton; Two great-grandsons Haddon and Nolan Smith. Brothers and sisters; Frances Smith, Mouvaline Moss Mayo, Bobby Smith, Luther Wayne Smith, Fred Smith, Freda Wilson and Carolyn English, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ilene Smith. His parents Luther Earl and Lula Smith and his sister Willodean Nunley.
