Rufus Henry Boothe

Rufus Henry Boothe, 83, of Booneville died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at his home. He was born April 23, 1929 to Claude and Lillie Tucker Boothe. He was retired from the US Postal Service, a member of Berclair Baptist Church in Memphis and a US ARMY Korean War Veteran.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, June 2, 2012 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Whitley and Bro. Jack McQuary officiating. Burial will be in the New Lebanon Cemetery.

He is survived by one daughter, Phyllis (Terry) Higginbotham of Bartlett, TN; one sister, Mattie Smith of Memphis; three grandchildren, Angela Whitten, Michelle Wheeler, and T.J. Higginbotham; three great grandchildren, Tristen Whitten, Austin Wheeler, and Tensley Whitten.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Searcy Boothe; his parents; one sister, Lois Dunn; four brothers, Roy Boothe, Charles Boothe, Lamar Boothe, and J.C. Boothe.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Friday June 1, 2012 and until service time on Saturday.
