Sarah Gail Lowrey Murphy, 65, died Friday, September 16, 2011, at the Mississippi Care Center in Corinth. She was born May 10, 1946, to Euless Harmon Lowrey and Sarah Lou Bolt Lowrey. She was a member of Thrasher Methodist Church. She enjoyed singing and caring for others.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 P.M. Sunday, September 18, 2011, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Christian officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Tony Murphy of Booneville; a sister, Freeda Lowrey of Corinth; two brothers, Ed (Anita) Lowrey and Freeman (Sue) Lowrey, both of Booneville; her caregivers, Christy Lowrey and Vicki Shockley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Mitchell Murphy in 2000; her parents; and a sister, Margret Lowrey.
Pallbearers are Bobby Lowrey, Timmy Lowrey, Eddie Lowrey, Tim Rodgers, Gerry Calley and Landon Calley.
