Zena Marie Moore

Zena Marie Wright Moore, 90, of Wheeler, MS, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Landmark Nursing and Rehab in Booneville, MS. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at McMillan Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at McMillan Funeral Home.

Marie was born September 12, 1936, in Booneville, MS. She attended school in South Prentiss and Marietta where she enjoyed playing basketball. In her adult years she worked at marathon cheese and at Booneville Hospital as a nursing assistant. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and taking pictures of everyone. She had a big heart for others. Marie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Raymond Lee; her children, Russell Lee (Lorie), and Ronell Lee; her grandchildren, Kelsey Bennett (Zac), Rusty Moore, and Brailey Barnett (Luke); and her great-grandchildren, Sadie Paige Bennett, Zena Kate Bennett, Jac Collins Bennett, Samuel Lee Moore, Charles Randall Moore, August Taylor James Barnett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Zena Mae Wright and her grandparents who raised her, George and Minnie Vandevender.

Pallbearers are Rusty Moore, Luke Barnett, Neal Johnson, J.W. Moore, Chris Holland, Jody Thompson, and Michael Moore.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Dennis, the Legacy Hospice staff, and the staff at Landmark Nursing and Rehab for their kindness and gentle care of Zena Marie during her last days.
