Edris Mae Shay

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Bunceton Federated Church under the direction of William Wood Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to services beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at the Mt. Herman Cemetery, between Boonville and Lone Elm.

Edris was born on March 2, 1923 in Lisbon, Missouri to Cordie & Izetta May (Cain) Burton. She was united in marriage on December 10, 1943 to James Edgar Shay in Tallahassee, Florida and to this union 2 children were born. Edris, a homemaker was a member of the Speed Union Church for over 44 years and a member of the Bunceton Federated Church for 8 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Ruth Holst and 2 brothers, Robert Burton and Cordie Burton, Jr.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Jimmy & Geannie Shay, of Boonville, MO and her daughter and her husband, Patricia & Carl Jobe, of Bunceton, MO, 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Bunceton Federated Church, 201 East College Street, Bunceton, MO 65237 to help send the children to Summer Camp 2016.
