Nick Janchyshyn

Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Tuesday August 4th, 2015 at Clarks Fork Trinity Lutheran Church, Boonville, MO under the direction of Thacher Funeral Home, Boonville, MO. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Boonville, MO.

Nick Janchyshyn was born March 14th, 1919 to James and Anna Janchyshyn in Boonville, MO. Nick was a World War II Veteran. Nick met his wife, Margaret Nell (Kingston) Janchyshyn shortly after he was discharged from the military in Texas.

They settled down in on a small farm in Clarks Fork, MO and began building their lives together. Nick continued to farm with Margaret until Margaret passed away 2 years ago on June 29, 2013.

Margaret and Nick spent their entire married life doing everything together on the farm. Nick thoroughly enjoyed farming, raising both cattle and crops for nearly 69 years.

Nick was preceded in death by his parents, James and Anna Janchyshyn, their only son, James Hal Janchyshyn and his sisters Anna Ohlendorf , Catherine Fahrenbrink and Marie Fricke.

Nick is survived by two grandchildren, Michael Janchyshyn (Sarah) of Stuttgart, Germany, and Jodie Janchyshyn Cotter (JJ) West Plains, MO and Daughter in law Linda Janchyshyn. Five great grandchildren also survive: Isaac, Caleb, and Addison Janchyshyn and Justin and Jacie Cotter.
