Samanitha Anne Edwards , 61 of Boonville, MO. passed away Thursday evening on October 6th, 2016, at home with her loving family by her side.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 11th 6-8pm @ William Wood Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life on Wednesday, October 12th 10:00am @ the Funeral home.

Samanitha was born February 19, 1955 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Barbara C. Williams (Alexander) and the late Harold G. Williams Sr. Samanitha was a 1973 New Franklin High School graduate. After graduating, Samanitha attended Kansas City College in computer science. On January 12, 1976 she married the love of her life, Eddie Edwards, on 4th St with Sister Gravy in the front yard in Boonville, MO. They made Boonville their home and raised 5 beautiful children and 3 step children together.

Samanitha worked at the Boonville Daily Newspaper office as a line worker putting inserts in the paper for 5 years; at a nursing home as a CNA for 6 years; a Pre-School teacher for 3 years; Casey's for 2 years and the rest of the time was spent as a homemaker. In her later years, Samanitha enjoyed working at Marketplace until she became ill. She was very crafty thoughout the years from wood burning to making wreaths.

Samanitha was very devoted in her children's lives when it came to school activities and Cub Scouts; she was even a Girl Scout leader for 10 years and a volunteer as well.

Samanitha loved her children and grandchildren and would do anything for them.

Samanitha was preceded in death by her father Harold G. Williams Sr. in 2003, and Grandparents Williams and Grandparents Alexander, and a child she lost at 6 months pregnant in 1976.

Survivors include her loving husband of 40 years, Eddie, of the home; children: Lisa Oldham (Rick) of Boonville, MO, Nicholas Edwards (Cindy) of Boonville, MO, Jason Edwards (Chad) of Little Rock, AR, Samuel Edwards (Josselin) of Columbia, MO, Kenneth Edwards ( Tiffani) of Boonville, MO; 2 stepsons Doug Edwards of Boonville, MO, Dion Edwards of Rogers, AR, and one stepdaughter Georgia Bair (Raymond) of Springdale. AR; grandchildren: Dustin, Brantley, Hunter, Mylie, and Blakeley Edwards; mother Barbara Williams of New Franklin, MO and 2 siblings: Harold G. Williams Jr. and Beverley Hallowell (Kevin).

Mrs. Williams, Harold, Beverly, Mr. Edwards, and family. I'm sorry for your loss and the struggles with her health. She sounds like a fighter and embraced everything and her family. I didn't know her well. From what is written, it sounds like she left a huge influence on others and her loved ones. I hope the memories and prayers help you get through this time.
