Shirley Chenault

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Thacher Funeral Home in Boonville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Thacher Funeral Home in Boonville. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

She was born on August 13, 1935, in Boston, MA, the daughter of Andrew and Annie (Sinclar) LeGrice, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married on April 15, 1958 to Milton Chenault, Sr., who preceded her in death on October 20, 1987.

She worked as an LPN for Boonville Correctional Center, as well as many nursing homes, hospitals and home health care companies in Boonville, Fayette and Columbia. She enjoyed Bingo and card games, but most of all loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by: her children: David R. Chenault and wife Marilyn of Boonville, James M. Chenault and wife Debbie of Huntsville, AL, Milton Chenault, Jr. and wife Tina of Prairie Home, Bessie M. Goff and husband Danny of Jamestown, Susan Butler and husband Ronald of Omaha, NE, and Victoria Chenault of Kansas City, MO; 20 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 3 brothers and 1 sister. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, John and Roy Chenault; and one sister, Marie Lamberti.
