

Amelia was born in East Boston on October 25, 1938 to the late Andrew and Mary (Picardi) Falanga. She is the sister of Anita Buckley of Wakefield, the late Marie Gayhart, Joseph Falanga and Andrew “Rusty” Falanga.
She worked many positions for years at the New England Telephone Co. and retired from Nynex in October 1991.
She was a member of the Red Hat Club of East Boston and enjoyed traveling and reading. Amelia was passionate about spending time with friends, family and her many nieces and nephews, especially dinning out with them and enjoying a perfect espresso martini.
Amelia is survived by her sister-in-law, Anne Falanga of Wilmington; her nieces and nephews: Mary Lou Cicalese of Everett, Ronald and the late Eileen Buckley of FL, Kevin and Diane Buckley of Peabody, Robert Buckley of ME, Andrew and Cassie Falanga of Wilmington, Tina and Damiano DiCenso of Wilmington; 12 great nieces and nephews; 4 great-great nieces; as well as her dear friends Sabina Taylor of East Boston, Camille Gilardi North Reading and Therese McNamara of Winthrop.
The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 10am to 11am in J.S. Waterman-Langone Chapel, 580 Commercial St., Boston with a Prayer Service to follow at 11am. PARKINIG ATTENDANTS WILL BE AT THE FRONT DOOR. Services will conclude with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
