Age 90, of Brighton, MA, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 due to pneumonia. She was born on August 24, 1929, in Toishan, China. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her extended family. She was a skilled Mahjong player and had a dry sense of humor. Devoted wife of the late Hoo Chin, to whom she was married for 72 years. Loving mother of Yuen Mei Wong of Montreal, Yuen Kum Chan of Quincy, the late Wendy Don and her surviving husband William Don of Chicago, Kam Chin and his wife Rachel Chin of Windham, N.H., Winnie Wong and her husband Stuart Wong of Quincy, Annie Chin-Louie and her husband Thomas Louie of Brighton, Tony Chin and his wife Stella Chin of Quincy. Beloved grandmother of Douglas and his wife Christina, Gloria, Lillian, Stanley and his wife Phoebe, Richard and his wife Jennifer, Sarah, Pui Yee and her husband Charles, Pui Sze and her husband Michael, Andrew and his wife Cindy, Robert, Joshua, James, Daniel, Rebecca, Kristen, Matthew, Melanie, and Dashiell. Cherished great grandmother of Priscilla, Genessa, Charisa, Yanis, Kingsley, Keira, Alyssa, Richard, Julian, Gabriel, and Iris. Also survived by her brother, Huan Xing Wu, niece Die Zi Chan, and grand-nieces and nephews.
A private gravesite service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at the Forest Hills Cemetery in Boston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the South Cove Manor at Quincy Point, 288 Washington Street, Quincy, MA 02169.
