Cora was born in Chelsea in 1940. She was predeceased by her parents Mabel (Logan) and Joseph C. Glennon, Sr. She was the oldest of seven children. She adored her siblings. She is predeceased by her sister Patricia Beck and her brother Joseph C. Glennon, Jr. She is survived by her brothers James Glennon of Brentwood, NH and Arthur Glennon of Seminole FL and her sisters Martha Sommers of Seminole FL and Ruth Donnay of Virginia Beach, VA.
Cora graduated from Chelsea High School on June 4, 1958 and on June 21, 1958 she married the Love of her Life George G. Madrid, Sr., they enjoyed 40 years together before his passing and she missed him to her dying day.
Cora was the loving mother of Corinne and her husband Paul Beaulieu of Amesbury, MA, Barbara Madrid of Braintree MA and George and his wife Kathy King-Madrid of “The Hampton”, NH.
Cora adored her grandchildren and they adored their Nana. Joseph Beaulieu and his wife Katy of So. Portland, ME, Paul Beaulieu and his wife Effie Morgenstern of Dorchester, MA, Eric Madrid of Claremont, NH, Jacqui Beaulieu of Brighton, MA, Brian Beaulieu of Amesbury, MA, Cherise Madrid of Kingston, MA, Ashley Grant and her husband Aaron James of CT, Chelsea Grant Dean of PA, and Robert Grant and his wife Emily of Bermuda.
Cora felt so blessed to be able to spend time with her Great Grandchildren Maddie and Cormac Beaulieu of So. Portland, ME, Stella Raye and Max Madrid of Claremont, NH, Lucy Beaulieu of Dorchester, MA. Seamus Hurd and Enzo Dean of PA.
Cora loved all of her many nieces and nephews and her many cousins.
Cora loved Winthrop where she raised her children and developed lifelong friendships with the Cimino Family and the Pisco Family. For 30 years she got to work alongside her dear friend Louise MacInnes in the Purchasing Department at MGH, starting as a file clerk and working her way up to a Senior Buyer.
Cora spent the last 25 years living with her daughter Barbara and her granddaughter Cherise in Braintree. She was a member of the All Souls U.U. church of Braintree where she volunteered many hours. After her retirement she joined the Braintree Women’s Club and volunteered many hours with them. She drove for Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the Red Hats! She will be missed by her dear, dear friend Peggy Nisby.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, September, 11 2023 from 3 pm to 7 pm, COMPLIMENTARY VALET PARKING ATTENDANTS AT FRONT DOOR, at the J.S Waterman Langone Chapel 580 Commercial Street, Boston.
