Born in Boston, she was the daughter of late parents, Frances A. DeLucca and Alfred J. DeLucca. She graduated from Cardinal Cushing High School and from St. Thomas Aquinas Junior College in 1967.
Professionally, Jean dedicated her life as a civil servant for the federal government for 50 years. She started her working career on a U.S. Army Base in Boston and she retired from the U.S. Trustee Program after 34 years of service. To her colleagues she brought a sense of style and humor that was unique and unlike anyone. She was also the go-to-person on the local restaurants in the North End and Italian pastries.
Jean truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: chatting with her friends and family, strolling through the North End greeting her friends at the local fire station and post office. She was also a friend to canines and felines and a supporter of ASPCA.
Jean is survived by her sisters, Catherine DeLucca of Brookline, MA Shirley DeLucca of Falmouth, MA and Marguerite Mulvoy of Abington, MA.
Her Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017 at St. Stephen's Church, 415 Hanover St., Boston.
