Born in Boston, she was the daughter of Carmela "Millie" (Roberto) DiStefano of The North End and the late Michael DiStefano, whom she adored.
Joyce worked in Banking for 32 years, as well as various part time jobs.
Joyce was a fervent fan of all Boston sports teams. A great lover of music, Joyce was always ready to go to a concert. She was known as the sweetest, kindest person by her countless friends. Of all the things Joyce loved, her nieces, nephews, cousins and their children were the center of her world. She enjoyed taking them on many trips and vacations as they were growing up. Joyce was simply, the best.
In addition to her endearing mother she is survived by her dear sisters and their families; Joanne Deuterio and her husband Ralph of Revere, Maria Como of Hooksett, NH, nephews Michael A Tecci and his wife Katherine "Katie", Albert J Tecci and his wife Melissa, John M. Como and his wife Katie, niece Michele Como and great niece and nephews Emelia and Theo Tecci, Xander and Nolan Tecci, and Ace and Cameron Como. She also leaves her uncle Frank Roberto and many dearly loved cousins and friends.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at J.S. Waterman-Langone Chapel, 580 Commercial Street, Boston. COMPLIMENTARY VALET PARKING ATTENDANTS AT FRONT DOOR. Joyce's Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 11:30am in St. Leonard’s Church, 320 Hanover Street in Boston's North End. Joyce will be laid to rest with her beloved father in Woodlawn Cemetery at 302 Elm Street, Everett, MA.
