Lai Ha Ho Wong

Wong, Lai Ha Ho (Mary) of West Newton, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 surrounded by her children. Beloved wife of late John B. Wong, Sr. Loving and devoted mother of Amy, John and his wife Jacy, and Joseph. Beloved grandmother of Audrey, Jasmine, Mason, Vera Wong. Dear sister of Yiu Wah Ho and family, Lai Kuen Ho and family, Lai Mui Ho and family, Yiu Sum Ho and family, Peter Ho and family. For more than forty years, she has devoted her life for caring for the sick and elderly in Chinatown. She loved her work because it brought joy and meaning to her life and she has inspired, mentored and befriended everyone that she has encountered over her life. She will be forever remembered for her dedication and devotion to her faith, family and friends. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to join the family at St. James the Greater Church, 125 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA 02111 (Chinatown) for Church Wake on Friday, April 26, from 6 pm to 9 pm. Funeral Mass also at the same church on Saturday, April 27, at 10 AM. FREE parking at Hudson Street parking lot formerly the old Chinatown YMCA, Friday from 5pm to 10pm and Saturday from 9am to 12pm. Interment in Newton Cemetery in Newton.
