Linda is survived by her beloved brother Dr. Robert Gottlieb and wife Carolina of San Diego, CA. She is predeceased by her husband Peter Tulis, parents Joseph Jacob Gottlieb and Evelyn Kleven Gottlieb, brother Gary, and dear grandmother Pauline Kleven.
Linda was a longtime resident of Harbor Towers, where she served as a Trustee for several terms and on the neighborhood Wharf District Council. She loved her family, friends, and her many cats and dogs. She cared deeply about the treatment of animals, supporting numerous causes. She enjoyed life and was always busy. She took exceptional photographs of people and pets, creating photo books.
She graduated from Beaver Country Day School, Cornell University, and Boston University with a master’s degree. She became a teacher at the South Elementary School in Hingham MA, where she started as a student teacher and stayed until she retired. She loved to teach, making her English classes interesting and special for her students.
A service and burial will be held at Newton Cemetery Chapel, 791 Walnut St., Newton on Monday, March 13, 2023 at 10am. A Celebration of Life reception will follow at the Boston Harbor Hotel’s Foster Room, 70 Rowes Wharf, Boston at 11:45am. Please contact the J.S. Waterman Langone Chapel if you wish to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s name may be made to the South Elementary School Library, 831 Main St., Hingham, MA 02043. All donations will be used for the purchase of books.
