

Peter P. Bruno, 88 years of age, was born and raised in the North End of Boston, before marrying the love of his life, Mary (Burns), and moving to East Boston in 1972. Peter passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1, 2025, in Hollywood, FL, where he retired with Mary in 2002.
Cherished son of the late Francisco and Carmella (DeVito) Bruno. Beloved husband of the late Mary (Burns) Bruno.
Peter’s legacy continues through his loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his son Richard and wife Barbara (Gambale) Puopolo, their son Aaron and Tayla (DiCicco) and their children Lia and Luca. Daughter Alana Puopolo and Phil Renard and their children Philip and Maddox. His late son Christopher Puopolo, who is survived by his daughter Jessica and her children Jack, Jenevieve, and Jona Puopolo, as well as his son Anthony and Briana (Siciliano) and their children Jayden, Alexander and Julian.
Peter was the youngest of a large and loving family, including siblings Barbara (and the late Louis Maldero), and the late Vito, Joseph (and Margaret), Ralph (and Rose), Rocco, Pauline (and Frank Centore), Louis (and Eleanor), Angie (and Nicholas DiBisceglia), and William (and Joyce). He is also survived by multiple generations of cherished nieces and nephews. He was always a caring presence in their lives.
Throughout his life, Peter was dedicated to his family and enjoyed traveling back from Florida for North End Feasts, visiting with life-long friends, and joining in family gatherings. Peter always loved going out for a nice dinner and a few drinks with family and friends. He would never pass up the opportunity to start the day going out for a good breakfast. He was a proud Red Sox fan, loved watching football and playing shuffleboard with his friends and neighbors at his Beverly Hills RST condominium in Florida. He was a former housing inspector for the City of Boston. He also enjoyed trips to the casinos, cruises and warm weather.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, September 10, during a morning visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed by a service at 12:00 PM. The services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett, MA.
